Cam’s commitment to advancing sustainable ruminant production is rooted in a Northumbrian upbringing and was further shaped while completing his degree at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, graduating in 2017. Working as a farm vet since graduation, Cam has drawn on the experiences granted to him to deepen his knowledge of sustainable production and apply it in a practical manner.
Currently based in Oxfordshire, Cam has relished the opportunity to develop new collaborative relationships grounded in shared goals with a commitment to sustainable ruminant production. Alongside work, Cam has actively pursued a deeper understanding of how to positively impact livestock systems, earning a Distinction in his Master’s degree in Sustainable Agriculture from Aberystwyth University in 2024, which culminated in a research project comparing the effects of ruminant grazing systems on dung beetle populations.
Cam is firm in the belief that ruminants play an essential role in sustainability, and producing nutritious, healthy food for a growing population while protecting both our ecosystems and farming businesses. At a small scale, he applies his principles in practice to his own pastured sheep, pigs and bees.
With Ruminant Revival, Cam draws on his evidence-based veterinary and agricultural experience to deliver practical, achievable solutions for the sustainable enhancement of livestock husbandry and food production.
